Description of the company

The American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) was founded in 1993 in Bratislava as an independent and self funded organization financed exclusively through the contributions of its members. In September 2003 a new branch of AmCham was opened in Košice to help foster economic development in the Eastern Slovak region. Today it is one of the most active international chambers of commerce in Slovakia with a current membership list containing more than 350 international and Slovak companies, including many of the largest and most important firms in Slovakia. Approximately 44% of these companies are Slovak and 21% American, the remaining 35% being international companies. The total annual turnover of "Top 100" among our member companies exceeds 15.5 billion EUR and employ approximately 100,000 people.
