DESCRIPTION
Amazon is looking for energetic and enthusiastic candidates to join the fast paced world of European Financial Operations in Bratislava. We’re not an average retailer and this is definitely not your average finance position. We’ll give you the opportunity to really make a difference to our business by working on and initiating projects in a fast-paced environment and ultimately delivering results.
About the role:
The successful candidate will be finance analytics/ intelligence expert based in Bratislava.
He/she will be responsible for operational reporting for AR/AP finance departments. Initiate and drive process improvement based on data and analytics, focusing on cash flow and efficiency. Consulting and counseling the teams, providing structured approach (SIX Sigma) to initiatives and improvements.
The successful candidate will co-design and roll out automated weekly KPI dashboards for AR, Dispute management & AP. He/she will work closely with the local teams as well as liaise with teams in India, Germany & USA and will gather in-depth knowledge of Amazon data warehouse and document process improvements.
Project Management:
Leading short to mid-term process improvement projects agreed on with operational teams in Bratislava. Project may require knowledge of SQL, VBA, C#, Python and Tableau

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Other knowledge

Microsoft SQL Server - Basic
Python - Basic
Oracle Database - Basic

Personality requirements and skills

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Experience/Skills required:
· Fluent English
· Knowledge of basic SQL Server administration tasks
· Ability to write complex SQL queries (SQL server and Oracle) and in-depth understanding of databases.
· Proficient knowledge of VBA or C# or Python and Tableau
· Advanced analytical skills and the ability to get into the details, while also seeing and understanding the big picture
· Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects.
· Communicative with a “Can do” attitude
· Ability to think outside of the box and utilize available resources
· Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
· A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Finance background or previous experience with finance is an advantage
