The Amazon Tax Team is seeking a Tax Analyst to join its team in Bratislava, Slovakia. Our vision is to make tax a taskless experience for both our Amazon Businesses and our customers. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing key tax processes that enable Amazon’s EMEA businesses to continue to grow rapidly in a compliant manner while simultaneously delighting our customers with the tax support they receive. You will also leverage deep dives and metrics to drive continuous processes improvements and efficiencies.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Develop and implement program for assessing compliance health of systems and processes in the EMEA region.
Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of operational and system controls.
Ensure effective tax compliance is in place.
Drive process improvement initiatives to reduce manual efforts.
Communicate with internal and external customers about Amazon policies related to tax information collection.
Tax information reporting, including reconciliation, research and analysis of exceptions related to payee tax information.

Basic wage component (gross) and other rewards

Base pay for this position starts from EUR 2,191 gross per month and salary depends on the skills and requirements, there will be further pay components such as a sign on bonus and the eligibility to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA. Company benefits apply subject to further terms, including annual membership in medical clinic, life insurance, retirement pension, meal voucher card, career development.

Personality requirements and skills

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
University degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Tax.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance or tax compliance function.
Ability to effectively prioritize competing demands and manage multiple projects to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
Well rounded knowledge of MS Office Suite.
Customer focused, friendly, professional, and detailed-oriented individual.
Team player, reliable and dependable.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to relate processes and associated technical aspects to business partners in a straightforward fashion.
Fluent English (written and verbal).
