ABOUT THE ROLE
The Cloud and Hosting Engineer will collaborate with Retail Executions internal customer support and product development teams to design, provision, and maintain cloud resources for hosted applications, specifically in Azure.
• Design, configuration and deployment of Azure resources, virtual networks and security groups, Blob storage, and Azure Active Directory
• Contribute to enhancing the maturity and security of AFS Hosting towards an ISO-compliant SaaS
• Ensure all systems are hardened according to AFS documentation and Microsoft best practices.
• Remediate all system and network security vulnerabilities identified by AFS cloud-based security tools.
• Verify that all operations monitoring utilities are fully operational and remediate any alerts as required or requested.
• Participate in disaster recovery, capacity planning or customer provisioning exercises.
• Identify opportunities to optimize and scale operational environments and customer needs across the capabilities of MS Azure.
• Build and maintain hosting automation leveraging scripting and configuration management platforms such as PowerShell.
• Provide product team support for application issues.
• Participate in yearly SOC1 Type 2 and SOC2 Type 2 audits
• Provide sales support accurate quotations for RFP/RFI.
• Providing periodic out of normal business hours support coverage such as patching and / or for emergency issues
• Contribute to develop and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, run books and processes.
• Identifies opportunities and recommends solutions that will enhance or improve current business processes.
• Stays informed on new or emerging trends and technologies that provide clear benefits to the organization.
• Collaborates with other hosting teams on best practices and process improvements.

• Technical certifications in security and infrastructure areas CISSP, CCIE, MCSE, CCNA
• Experience with compliant technology operations (SOC/SSAE, ISO)
• Hands-on scripting with PowerShell and other management tools
• Knowledge of agile/scrum development methodologies and continuous integration
Personality requirements and behaviors:
• Strong communication, collaboration, interpersonal, and team skills, technical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to learn and apply new technology
