Job description, responsibilities and duties
Absolutely new position in successful automotive company in Slovakia. This is opportunity in procurement TOP management responsible for 7 production plants across Europe and you will act as a Business Architect, have overall ownership of the whole Purchasing Process Area(s) and related project deliverables within the region.
Main purpose of the job:
- Lead the procurement activity for a specific region in Europe.
- Drive cost efficiency reviews for the region in-line with defined goals & objectives in the area of cost savings, quality, supplier rationalization, BCC & supplier payment terms.
- Manage & develop the regional team.
- Control and approve all program procurement activities & decisions in line with customer demands and commodity strategies within the region.
- Develop and maintain key internal and external relationships to ensure proactive cost efficiency reviews are maintained and ensure consistency and competitive sources of supply within the specific region.
- Ensure compliance across procurement functions and suppliers adhere to ethical standards and customer expectations.
- Manage and develop teams within the dedicated region of Europe functions to consolidate issues and improve overall KPI’s.
- Actively scrutinise and manage the departments goals and objectives in line with company vision.
- Engage in Management meetings and regional events.
- Alignment with other regional procurement leads to ensure consistent Commodity Strategies & Program Handling

• 12 years’ experience purchasing management in international automotive companies or 15 years’ experience in purchasing department and at least 5 years in automotive industry
• Master’s degree in business or bachelor’s degree in supply chain or Business
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the customer and with company
• Adaptability in the location of work including BUSINESS TRAVEL
• Flexibility to change priorities in response to changing programme demands
• Deep analytical skills
• Technical skills in engineering finance & supply chain
• Ability to identify creative solutions in a complex environment
• Six Sigma mindset and approach to solving problems preferable
• Master’s degree in business or bachelor’s degree in supply chain or Business
