We have an exciting opportunity to work for a new automotive Company in the Nitra region. We are hiring for the position of Supplier Technical Assistance - Site Manager (Exterior Trim).
The STA function is responsible for the capacity and quality performance of all new product and current vehicle suppliers and performs an important role within the Purchasing Department. The STA function is responsible for planning, monitoring and controlling supplier manufacturing processes and activities. This is to enable high quality and on time execution of product programmes effectively and efficiently whilst maintaining and improving current car performance.
Main Responsibilities:
New Model Launch:
- Lead supplier industrialisation of new products
- Drive supplier execution of robust manufacturing feasibility determination
- Drive robust supplier industrialisation timing plan development and execution
- Drive robust PFMEA & Control Plan development and facility maintenance and emergency concept activities
- Capacity Validation of new supplier value streams
- Engage with Module Business Teams (STA, Engineering & Purchasing Matched Trio), Programme STA, Launch STA & Programme Purchasing to deliver PSW at TT Build and Flawless Launch
Current Car Supplier Quality & Delivery Performance:
- Manage supplier performance through robust application of agreed customer and supplier metric monitoring, reporting and action planning
- Lead supplier concern resolution processes where escalated from Plant STA to Site STA ownership, supporting your team in the application of structured problem solving processes
- Work closely with Plant & Launch STA to drive supplier improvement activities to deliver required performance metrics in OEM plants (Right First Time, Premium Customer Perception Audit etc) through both the launch phase of new product and on current vehicle production
Systemic Supplier Improvement & Development:
- Lead supplier site development to company quality award standard and to world class manufacturing facility standards
- Lead supplier site assessment activities, both assessment of potential future suppliers within the sourcing process and ongoing assessment of incumbent suppliers
- Develop and deploy lessons learned from Launch & Current Car Quality \ Delivery across the supply base
STA Site Team Leadership & Development:
- Support recruitment of and then lead a team of STA Site Engineers covering the three distinct roles above
- Provide priorities and leadership to STA Engineers for corrective and preventive actions
- Drive efficient deployment of STA resources within organizational scope
- Support communication of supplier performance information to the appropriate STA Senior Leadership, Purchasing Managers, Buyers, Site Engineers, Programme Engineers, PD Engineers, Plant and Launch teams.
- Develop the skill set of your team of engineers to support the requirements of the business and to drive personal development and internal talent management and succession planning

- Strong working knowledge of leading teams through complex problem solving activities using structured problem solving tools (8D, 5Y, DMAIC, etc)
- Experience in manufacturing \ quality \ supplier development functions of highly technical industries (Automotive, Aerospace, FMCG, Engineering) is desirable
- Self-motivated & able to work on their own initiative, often away from home office as the senior representative of the Company in a supplier facility
- Languages - Strong business knowledge of English required. Business knowledge of Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Romanian or German is desirable
- Full Driving license with no restrictions for internal driving within Europe
- Qualified to degree level within engineering or business discipline
