Job description, responsibilities and duties

Zurich Insurance is currently seeking a Technical Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering technology projects of varying size and complexity within Agile environment. 

As a Technical Project Manager, your main responsibilities will involve:  
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of a technology project to ensure it is completed on-time and within budget.
  • Develop project roadmaps with respective Squads, monitor progress and align adjustments as needed.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and product owners to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives.
  • Coordinate respective resources in squads, internal customers and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Identify potential risks and devise contingency plans.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
  • Report and escalate to management as needed.
  • Provide technical guidance and inspire team members to achieve project goals.
  • Conduct post-project retrospectives and identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

  • Hybrid working: It would be nice to meet you in the office 2-3 times a week, if you live close by. We are also open to hear your preference to work from home more often

Personality requirements and skills

As a Technical Project Manager, your skills and experience will ideally include: 
  • Proven work experience as a Project Manager.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in leading IT projects like migrations, integrations, new technology deployments.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management tools.
  • Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity in a fast-paced work environment.
