Head of IT BI & Data Management

Our opportunity

Global Corporate is investing heavily into improving its ability to provide better data, insights and reports to its employees and customers. This role involves developing & delivering enhanced IT business intelligence & data management capabilities into a Corporate Insurance Environment and supporting the Global Corporate (GC) business in defining new business insights and capabilities from its data assets. Additionally, you will be leading the daily operations of business intelligence and data management IT services in a complex global environment.
 
Your role
 
As Head of IT Business Intelligence & Data Management your main responsibilities will involve:
 
 

• Formulating comprehensive strategies for Business Intelligence & Data Management together with senior stakeholders across the Global Corporate business unit.

• Supporting Global Corporate in defining new and innovative ways to use IT to support its business goals and to create better reports and insights.

• Working with the business to understand business requirements and providing solutions including insights / commentary based on those business Needs.

• Management of the Business Intelligence & Data Management team with global responsibility. Develop the team and the talents therein.

• Managing the total IT budget for the in scope Areas.

• Leading the development and delivery of standard & ad hoc reporting from Global Corporate main systems .

• Managing of the Global Corporate data & information model.

• Ensuring the delivery and maintenance of reporting infrastructure – ELT, Warehouse, Marts, etc., working with internal and external suppliers.

Your Skills and Experience
 
As Head of IT Business Intelligence & Data Management your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

* 10+ years of experience as a practitioner of IT in a large IT provider or IT user organization
* 5+ years of experience in managing or leading a reporting / business intelligence / data management function including experience of deploying industry best practices and technologies
* Deep knowledge in the area of business intelligence & analytics
* Knowledge of Big Data concepts and technologies
* Knowledge of Predictive Analytics concepts
* Understanding of Data Management & Reporting technologies
* Understanding of all elements of IT delivery lifecycle
* Understanding of IT architectures and Solution Delivery methodologies
* 1+ year experience in Financial Services, knowledge of Insurance would be an Advantage
