Our opportunity

  We are looking for experienced non - life actuary who would take responsibility for managing Reserving support team. 
 
Your role
 
Overall responsibility for managing a reserving support team.
 
As a Reserving Support Team Leader your main responsibilities will involve

* • Providing professional actuarial support and advice to the relevant reserving actuary and to the actuarial business partners including insights into underlying performance and implications for the business.

• Coordinating, preparing and performing actuarial analyses including loss and premium projections, consultation on actuarial models, and risk based capital issues.

• Supporting finance, market-facing business units, claims, risk, capital management, and other functions on reserving, portfolio pricing, and strategic business decisions.

• Ensuring that the claims provisioning processes for assigned BU(s) are appropriately governed in accordance with Group, Regional, and local regulatory policies.

• Supporting actuarial services related to Risk Based Capital model development, parameterisation and allocation activities.

• Participating in analyses related to Mergers & Acquisitions and/or special projects that are outside of normal business as usual or geographic responsibilities.

As a Reserving Support Team Leader your skills and qualifications will ideally include:




Qualifications:



- Fully qualified actuary (per local society).



Experience & Qualities:

- Five or more years of experience in a general insurance actuarial environment.

- Experience in multiple functions strongly preferred.

- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functions and influence outside of own function.

- Professional, enthusiastic and positive attitude.

- Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

- Experience of providing actuarial advice to senior management.

- Financial or Underwriting and general management experience.

- Experience at prioritizing, resourcing and planning.

- Ability to manage diverse work portfolio.
