Job description, responsibilities and duties

PURPOSE

To be responsible for the delivery of BI & Analytics operations services for our global shared platforms. You will play a key role in defining the platform management requirements as early as project initiation, ramping up the required services and resources and ensuring new solutions are smoothly being transitioned into regular operations, in collaboration with the project management team, the solution design team and the service management team. You will proactively drive communications and stakeholder management. You will report to the Head of BI Platform Management.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Manages the operations of shared BI and Analytics platforms to ensure the delivery of a consistent level of service provision to different customers around the world
• Manages external resources for the delivery of the platform services
• Plans and coordinates system maintenance activities
• Administers and implements systems and their components according to given guidelines
• Is responsible for release management of the system and its components
• Documents outages and errors and administers actions to solve problems
• Monitors systems availability/performance and takes adequate actions for problem prevention
• Performs incident, problem and escalation management
• Supports projects to ensure consistent design and implementation within the existing/planned infrastructure
• Technology related Consulting
• Release Management of Platform Components: Definition of Roadmaps, Software Release Updates, Design and Implementation of Platform Framework, Design and Implementation of functional Platform extensions
• Capacity Management: Monitoring on Resource Consumption, End2end Monitoring, Planning and Implementation of Platform Extension,
• Access Management: Fulfilment of User and Group Requests, Definition of Security Concepts
• Alignment of Platform Components
• Technical Governance: Definition of Implementation Guidelines, Review of designs and Implementations, Management of the technical Governance Process

• Over 5 years of relevant BI experience, with strong technical background in MICROSTRATEGY
• Additional experience with one or several of the following stacks is a plus: HANA, AIX, MS SQL Server
• Solid experience in Service Management both at application and platform levels
• deep knowledge of the BI domain, its paradigms and architectures
