Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are seeking a Senior SAP BW Consultant to join our emerging BI & Analytics organization. In this role, you will be responsible to operate and manage day to day Application Services delivered to our business customers. You will be working in close collaboration with Application Service Managers, Platform Managers and external partners teams to ensure operational excellence and maximize the value of the solution delivered to our business customers.

• First level Application support
• Ensure data availability & accuracy
• Provide dedicated support during Fiscal Period End Closing activities
• Support the user community in their day to day activities with respect to Reporting & Planning
• Translate business requirements into solutions design
• Incident resolution & management
• Assess, Implement, test and document change requests
• Data modelling, Data Propagation Design, Reporting
• Planning Scenarios design with SEM-BPS and Integrated Planning
• Access & Authorization Management for the applications in scope
• Maintain documentation updated
• Performance optimization and troubleshooting of the applications in scope

Personality requirements and skills

• 6 years of experience with SAP BW implementations (at least one full life cycle)
• Strong ABAP Programming skills, including Object Oriented ABAP
• Strong with BEx Analyzer & Web Application Designer
• Experience with Analysis for Office ideal
• Strong Experience with FI/CO Business Content
• Experience with integrating financial data to SAP BW (SAP FI – CO datasources) and financial reporting.
• Experience in agile IT development methodologies (e.g:. SCRUM).
• Ideally experience with Analysis for Office.
• Prior experience working in a financial services environment desirable, preferably insurance
• Ability to work effectively in a global organization, under time pressure and to manage ambiguity
• Strong knowledge of SAP BW and Business Planning (BPS+IP) in the Finance & Controlling domain
• Good knowledge of Microsoft ® Office 2010 Suites (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
• Ability to translate requirement into system design and technical solution implementation
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize performance (understanding of data models and staging concepts, layered scalable architecture) of Analytics solutions.
• Knowledge in other BI & Analytics technologies, in particular front-end reporting and Planning tools
