Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

Objective of this function is to procure HR and Engineering services in Germany, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Spain and Italy.
 
  
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Commodity strategy development and supply base optimization according to strategy
  • Implement strategies and actions to achieve year-over year cost savings and rebates
  • Negotiate and sign contracts with strategic suppliers.

  • Lead and manage project teams on various engagements: strategy, negotiation support, business planning, process improvement, etc

  • Support appropriate purchase-to-pay (PTP) process

  • Support proactive cooperation with other departments

  • Improve working capital by negotiating optimum payment terms

  • Responsible for managing European RFQ and RFP

  • Analyzing and negotiating supplier quotes, making sourcing recommendations

  • Issuing and negotiating Frame Agreements & Service Level Agreements (SLA)

  • Resolving supplier performance and commercial issues

  • Develop in-depth understanding of supplier cost drivers, and total cost of procurement

  • Secure, accurate and timely reporting of KPI

  • Ability to build trust and lasting relationships with key stakeholders 

  • Effective communicator with strong persuasion skills

  • Measuring and evaluating supplier performance according to agreed KPI & SLA

  • On average 10% to 20% travel time required

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

  • Bachelors degree (masters preferred) 
  • Minimum 3-5 years of Purchasing experience (HR & staffing services highly desired)
  • Strong market knowledge of HR & staffing services
  • Proven track record of supplier negotiations
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training may be considered
  • Proficient with general office computer applications such as MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint.  SAP/SRM knowledge a plus.
  • Languages: fluent in English is a must, German language is an advantage
  • Travelling throughout Europe (plant & supplier visits)

  • Analytical skills to solve daily issues and make smart decisions
  • Strong data analysis skills to evaluate supplier offers and present results
