Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
Consolidation / US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), including
• Consolidation of UK Holding (Ultimate owner of EMEA and NA entities) in US GAAP.
• Consolidation in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
• Coordination of month end close activities with SSC departments to resolve issues and submission of monthly UK Holding results to Shanghai consolidation team.
• Consolidation of investments, IC sales/purchases, retained earnings.
• Monthly review and validation of Supplementary schedules (Debt, Lease, Disposals, Investments in Partially Owned Affiliates, PP&E and NonControlling Interests roll forward reports).
• Joint ventures related accounting/reporting (NCI, IPOA) under the UK holding entity.
• Reconciliation of Intercompany cross charge and below EBIT accounts for all companies under the UK Holding entity, including consolidated joint ventures.
• Calculation of Intercompany gain in Inventory.
• Leases classification – preparation of Lease test, support plants during drafting of new lease contracts to meet desired lease type.
• Upload of non-SAP late journa entries into Financial Data Manager (FDM)
• Establish an effective communication to the entire organization about the financial situation of a specific finance area
• Drive studies to improve efficiencies and/or control environment
• Identify, communicate and resolve accounting issues for standardization with other member of finance team and compliance reasons (e.g., different accounts used for the same transactions leading to non-comparability)
• Manage, motivate and develop Team Members
• Set-up of Team Structure to support above
