Job description, responsibilities and duties

Position Summary:
The new global YFAI IT organization will setup a central PMO. And one of the first global projects will be the QAD ERP system rollout.
The new PMO will be the support organization for all IT projects in YFAI, which provides the coordination between the projects, the guidelines for the project management processes, documentation and reporting, training for PMs and PM tools.

The new PMO project manager will support the setup of the new IT PMO and will report to the PMO manager. All other IT project manager will have just a doted reporting line in the PMO, as they are located across IT departments.

The new PMO project manager will also work on the global rollout of the new ERP system from QAD, as the regional PM for EMEA. The ERP project has two main phases. The first phase is the separation of Johnson Controls contributed YFAI location from the JCI provided ERP system in EMEA, ASIA and North America (56 locations). The YFAI IT PM will work with and coordinate between the QAD PMs and the YFAI migration leads and SMEs. The time line for phase one is up to the end of June 2018. The second phase is the separation of YF contributed location from the YF ERP system.

As part of the ERP project, the PMO PM has a doted reporting line to the ERP program director.

The PMO project manager is expected to have strong project management skills, wide IT background with the scope on applications and basic knowledge of business processes.

The support for the PMO implementation covers the following areas:
- Identification and implementation of PM tools
- Implementation and documentation of PM best practice processes
- Training of PMs in regards of the PMO guidelines

Typical duties for the YFAI EMEA project manager QAD :
- Own, manage and communicate the EMEA regional remote site migration schedule
- Own and manage the site individual project plans
- Collection of ERP configuration information required for site migration
- Reservation and coordination of YFAI and JCI resources to complete migration preparation in time
- Reservation and coordination of YFAI and JCI resources involved in migration testing and final migration execution
- Identify and shortfalls, delays or other roadblocks early in time to allow timely correction and migration at dates planned for
- Project documentation/reporting for EMEA
- Financial tracking of the project for EMEA
- Communication to all parties involved

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree or above, major in Computer Science, Information Management or other related
- Project management certification ( preferred Prince)
- Basic ITIL certification
- Above 5 years IT professional experience
- Above 5 year project management experience with references
- Broad technical skill set within the IT
- Broad business process understanding within industrial production
- Strong skills in coordinating resources from remote across several third parties and YFAI internal teams
- Good interpersonal skills to encourage people to deliver for the project
- Organizational awareness to allow effective and timely escalations
- Good interpersonal skills and team player
- Positive attitude and spirit for the project to drive it forward
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong verbal and written communication in English.
