Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component.
Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
Reviews all purchased products or components and provides input to the decision of whether to accept the product and future purchases from the vendor.
Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies and procedures.
Investigate customer complaints and research root cause of off color startups. Perform an analysis to determine the reasons for the quality rejects as reported by the customer. Based on the results of the analysis develop a system that will reduce the number of rejects. Conduct statistical analysis of product characteristics and/or process parameters to support determination of process capabilities, as well as validation of effectiveness of corrective actions.
Manage the ISO program for the plant. Conduct audit of process and testing to verify implementation of corrective actions, training and current use of procedures.
Work with the Plant Engineer, Operators and Process Technicians to develop the scale up of new products and support developed products and support the CI activities throughout the facility.
Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.
Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities.
Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management.
Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.
Direct the activities and personnel in the lab. Identify training needs and develop programs to upgrade skill levels of laboratory personnel. Provide applicable training to keep technicians updated on changing procedures. Prepare and conduct evaluations and orientations.
