Network Design and Implementation Engineer

Responsibilities

About this role:

As a Network Design and Implementation Engineer you will be responsible for our largest and most complex EMEA clients. As a dedicated consultant to your customer, you will lead the communication from all technical aspects from the Day 1 Design discussions, transforming High Level Designs into Low Level Designs. What you then agree on with the customer you will guide through until the solutions go live into Production mode.

You will…

• Design, Develop and modify the technical network solution while ensuring the integrity of service delivery.
• Create, modify, and maintain process engineering designs (work flows and documentation).
• Support the customer through new tools transitions
• Ability to coordinate with appropriate groups and departments to effectively use of resources and timely delivery of ensure training, schedule, and resources meet requirements.
• Ability to represent the customer/group on various boards and meetings from a technical perspective.

Qualifications

You bring/ you are…

• Experience in supporting the full engineering lifecycle:
  • demonstrate the ability to work with customers to determine network requirements
  • develop design solutions (physical and logical) that are in compliance with best engineering practices
• Excellent verbal, written communications and presentation skills in English and additional European languages
• Several years of experience in a similar role – Network Design/ Architecture or Implementation
• Technical knowledge and experience at CCNP or similar level with focus on contemporary technologies (e.g. MPLS, TCP/IP, IPSec, BGP, QoS, IP Telephony, Multicast, etc.)
• Ideally - knowledge of principles of IT Service Management best practices
• Preferably - University Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
