Industrial Engineer

Determine the most efficient ways to use people, machines, materials, information and energy in support of the manufacture, packaging, storage and distribution of ConvaTec products.
Enhance the performance of the business by engineering processes and systems that continuously improve quality and productivity

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Work with multiple sites across the network to develop new systems and practices to enhance the performance of the business.
• Establish working standards based on work measurement for current and proposed processes.
• Use of standards to derive standard costs and highlight variances with actual costs.
• Assist in pre-production planning phase to optimise use of people and machines.
• Define work methods for tasks / processes minimizing non value added steps.
• Optimise and workspace layouts for optimal work flow and line balance.
• Identify process problems requiring analysis
• Perform process analysis using appropriate analytical tools and techniques
• Define key performance measures and determine data capture and analysis methods
• Design production planning and control systems
• Training of Industrial Engineering techniques as required.
