Server Specialist

Server Specialist will support the Server and Network infrastructure for the Unomedical Manufacturing Plants.
The specialist will work with each Manufacturing Plant’s Information Management teams to support the day to day operations and perform both proactive server, network and Operating System maintenance as well as troubleshoot and resolve network and server issues.
The Server Specialist will also support new projects and initiatives for the Plant infrastructure.

The main responsibility of function is participating on the projects by:

• Perform daily server health checks to ensure server resources are working as expected and remediate performance issues (Memory, CPU, Disk, etc)
• Review and manage daily, weekly, monthly server batch scripts
• Ensure all scheduled backups complete accurately and on time
• Maintain and ensure the proper configuration of UPS devices
• Work with the Unomedical Plant Information Technology teams to execute any on demand backup or restore requests
• Perform all scheduled and ad hoc patching and remote server restarts. Perform post restart testing to ensure systems are up and running
• Manage the Unomedical Active Directory Domain
• Maintain an accurate asset inventory of physical and virtual Servers as well as deployed licensed software
• Manage Manufacturing Plant File Servers and Corporate DFS Infrastructure
• Manage the day to day operations and maintain Unomedical Plant LAN infrastructure (wired and wireless)
• Maintain the DNS servers and configurations
• Communicate infrastructure issues to stakeholders and management
• Manage incident and work tickets
• Escalate infrastructure issues to management


The job will be in close cooperation with local and global Information Management teams and third party suppliers, therefore good communication skills are required.
