Job description, responsibilities and duties
We are searching for an experienced Security Manager to enrich our clients new team. You will be responsible for creating complex security structures and ensuring they correct function.
Responsibilities:
- Acquire a complete understanding of a company’s technology and information systems
- Plan, research and design robust security architectures for any IT project
- Perform vulnerability testing, risk analyses and security assessments
- Research security standards, security systems and authentication protocols
- Develop requirements for local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), virtual private networks (VPNs), routers, firewalls, and related network devices
- Design public key infrastructures (PKIs), including use of certification authorities (CAs) and digital signatures
- Prepare cost estimates and identify integration issues
- Review and approve installation of firewall, VPN, routers, IDS scanning technologies and servers
- Test final security structures to ensure they behave as expected
- Provide technical supervision for (and guidance to) a security team
- Define, implement and maintain corporate security policies and procedures
- Oversee security awareness programs and educational efforts
- Respond immediately to security-related incidents and provide a thorough post-event analysis
- Update and upgrade security systems as needed

- Master’s degree in Computer Information Technology, a related field of study, or equivalent work experience and a desire to enter the field of Information Security
- 5 years of experience administering complex ICT risk inventory with focus on information security and cyber security.
- Understanding of information security best practices
- Basic knowledge of assessing risk and policy development
- Entry-level to intermediate IDS/IPS/SIEM/DLP knowledge
- Entry-level to intermediate identity and access management system
- Knowledge of LANs, WANs, VPNs, common protocols such as SNMP, HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, LDAP, FTP
- Understanding of security incident investigation process
- Good judgment and decision making
- Strong situational analysis
- Ability to work independently and within deadlines
- Ability to learn new things quickly and prioritize work
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
Nice to have skills:
- CISP, CISM is an advantage
