Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
The position will report to the Team Manager, Asset Management in Kosice and will be participate for activities in the Slovakia, and some activities with our US collegues. In addition to the requirements below, the candidate must have excellent written and spoken English skills.
Taking responsibility over SW compliance in both desktop and server environment in USSK.
Conducting regular Microsoft, Adobe, IBM, HP, mock audits to ensure ongoing license compliance.
Participation on SW related projects and implementing Carnegie way and DMAIC practices into day-to-day work routine.
Being able to create comprehensive reports for managing directors and NA counterpart.
Gathering information about possible upgrades, versions and open source licenses.
Constantly seeking possible cost saving opportunities in accordance with IT department strategy.
Keeping contract expiration database like Ecteon, Apptio, F2K updated with the latest data available.
Prepare purchase requisitions for the procurement of Information Technology items including software and services
Communicate effectively with International (internal) customers to understand purchasing requirements
Follow existing departmental policies and procedures to ensure proper approval and budgeting of all requests
Assist with research, reporting, and documentation as required
Participate in departmental activities including taking care of SW portfolio, budget creation, inventory control, etc..
