Job description, responsibilities and duties
The following activities will be included in the responsibilities:
• Administration of MRO Purchase Requisitions.
• Review of requisitions to ensure clarity, accuracy and completeness.
• Preparation and issuance of Request for Quotations (RFQ) to suppliers.
• Review and evaluation of supplier proposals.
• Communicating with various production facilities on details of purchasing process.
• Verification of supplier compliance with all corporate guidelines.
• Clearing discrepancies in vendor invoices.
• Management and oversight of new and existing contracts.

• Excellent spoken and written English is essential.
• Excellent communications, problem solving and interpersonal skills are required.
• Computer literacy with a working skill level in Microsoft Office products is required.
• Candidate must be able to work independently, follow directions, be attentive to details, responsible and participate in teams.
• Candidate must also be a quick learner.
• Experience with supplier service is preferred.
• Understanding of the purchasing process, mechanical or electrical maintenance, industrial operations in a steel mill environment would be a plus.
