Meteorologist

We are looking for a candidate for position of meteorologist. Place of work is in Prague.

Our client is one of the largest energy companies in the Europe. Our client mainly focuses on production, distribution and trade of electricity and heat. Company has also a trading department focused on energy trading at the commodity exchanges. Trading department consists of analysts and traders.

Meteorologist at this position is part of the trading team. His main task is to create weather forecasts for traders and analysts. He interprets the effects of meteorological variables and their impact on the developing trend of energy prices (you will learn the entire process during the adaption).

Main goal of the meteorologist is to support trading team by providing necessary meteorological information to the analysts and traders.

Typical activities conducted at this position are:
- monitoring satellite and radar maps,
- analyze and evaluate forecasting numerical models,
- create weather forecasts especially for Europe (forecasts from one hour in advance to two weeks in advance),
- forward information to the traders and analysts about weather trend and its impact on the developing trend of the electric power.

We are looking for meteorologist from any EU country, who are willing to relocate and work in Prague. Internal communication language is English.

Our client will provide all necessary support and assistance to the successful candidate. Director of the trading team in cooperation with experienced meteorologist will guide him personally.
