QUALITY ENGINEER – EXPERT IN ASPECT AND METROLOGY

Product Quality management related to superficial appearance of components.
Quality Analysis of metal sheets, outer “skin”- components, after stamping and after being assembled.
Evaluation of the geometrical and dimensional characteristics. Determination of possible aspect defects, like “orange skin”, micro-breakages, cracks, etc. and of defects that may have an effect in the functionality of the parts.
Analysis, and ability to determine and diagnose defects by means of visual inspection, touch, etc.
Following the different stages of the parts, making sure it is always up to date with the newest customers’ requirements.
Aspect evaluation, adjustments and assembly of the components following the defined standards.
Study and development of ways to optimize the different aspects of the bodywork.
Coordination of the tasks related to the optimization of the bodywork.
Evaluate and control monitoring plans, guidelines, calipers, control tools, work instructions, etc.
Management and validation of works done by suppliers
Completion of the process approval documentation.
Review and elaboration of the Production PPAP and FMEA

Management of non-conformities with suppliers and/or clients, implementing corrective actions in the control plans.
Validation and support of results obtained by the metrology dept. and/or by external labs.
Planning, management, and validation of all the phases of a project.
3D metrology and measurements (calipers, gages, etc.) Geometrical and sheet forging quality, functional ensembles (Hood, doors, trunk, roof, etc.) Knowledge of the process of stamping and forging.

University education (Bachelor's degree)

German - intermediate

Academic background: University degree, preferably Industrial Technical Engineering. (if not, Engineering studies, knowledge and proved experience in the field and in Quality control in the field of automotive).
Complementary training: compulsory knowledge of quality norms and tools. Knowledge of statistic technics (SPC, Cp, Cpk, etc.)
2 years’ experience in the automotive sector, in a similar position.
Experience in the tooling manufacturing process: sheet welding and cataphoresis treatment.
Languages: English, German is a plus.
Machinery: Knowledge of CMM with 3 coordinates, fixed or mobil. Measuring systems by contact, optical-laser and photogrammetry.
Good knowledge of design software CAD, CATIA V5, NX, SOLID-WORKS, and measuring software METROLOG, PCDMIS, ATOS PROFESIONAL (GOM).
Experience in 3D vision, geometry and statistics. Use of lab equipment for testing, and knowledge of metrology and measuring programs.
Knowledge of metallurgical materials and other materials related to the manufacturing process.
Practical knowledge of the complete stamping process: metal supply to the line - the press typology – stamping - removal of excess of material - storing of good parts.
Experience in the Industrialization of new products and processes in the automotive sector.
Experience FORD, JAGUAR projects is a plus, including their process approval methodology
