Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
- Manages supply chain and procurement of MATEC Slovakia
- Establishes and implements procedures for procuring materials and services
- Communicates daily with suppliers regarding terms, open purchases and total supplier relationship
- Controls and manage the purchase orders (in ERP System) to supply the production department on time of the right materials: daily review of order confirmations and monitor overdue deliveries of each individual supplier
- Directs acquisition of materials, components, and supplies to support production schedules
- Follows up and manage the stock level of raw materials/components (in ERP System) in order to meet the company needs and internal limits
- Consolidates major purchases to secure the best possible overall conditions by leverage
- Negotiates contracts to ensure optimum costs and reliable supply
- Coordinates transportation and warehousing of incoming materials and subcontracting activities
- Set-up vendor reduction program in order to consolidate/decrease the number of vendors per logic commodity category and give pro-active feedback to Engineering / Product Management about preferred vendor options for future products
