Job description, responsibilities and duties
To compiles and maintains records of business transactions and office activities of the Purchasing Department, and supports the Purchasing Manager and others as needed.
This is clerical and administrative work performing a variety of moderately complex tasks related to the purchasing process of goods and services for the department, and insures that supplier manufacturing, quality and engineering processes are in alignment with Taylor Wharton specifications and quality requirements. Further it focuses on utilization and development of specifications and performance test requirements to facilitate the purchasing of suitable parts, materials and equipment.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prepares cost, usage and inventory turnover analysis; identities slow moving and obsolete inventory and prepares plan for its reduction; analyses stock level optimization.
• Assisting with global procurement needs and strategic initiatives. Assisting with special projects and strategic sourcing initiatives assigned by management.
• Creates RFQ/RFP for parts, materials, equipment and services; Obtaining pricing of Estimate Requests for non-standard options.
• Supporting the System Management Team during request for quotation and sourcing activity.
• Manage and track the sourcing process to insure parts are sourced on time, with quality, and within program targets to support program milestones and various builds.
• Preparing spreadsheets and obtains details for price increases.
• Assist in managing weekly order status reporting. Preparing weekly and monthly reports.
• Assisting with new project bidding. Collecting and entering bids into spreadsheets for evaluation by the Purchasing Manager.
• Prepares purchase orders for all goods and services used by department; enters purchase order into computer system using Oracle (JD Edwards); and tracks orders to ensure prompt and accurate delivery.
• Performing other job related duties as assigned by supervisor.
