Job description, responsibilities and duties

Application administrator is responsible for high quality end-to-end service operation based on the application level

Operative interface between IT Service Manager, Customer, Development, Vendors and other delivery units (OS, Networking)
Creates, checks, executes and solves tickets (Change, Incident and Problem Management tickets, Delivery Orders) in order to maintain service to customers according to given quality KPIs
Plans, controls and is responsible for complete application-based request fulfillment
Responsible for incident, problem, change, escalation management and operational documentation
Responsible for customer-driven and / or technical changes during service lifecycle
Responsible for change approval in face of all Change Advisory Boards
Responsible for functional steering of whole service chain from medium to complex applications/services
Independently executes complex tickets to provide service according to KPIs
Mentors Junior Administrators to spread knowledge level in the team and develops their skills
Acts as the key technical lead, solves and coordinates activities across related technologies/outside own team
Accountable for service asset- and configuration management
Executes project and other deliverables in order to fulfill KPIs and management requests
Responsible for capability planning to fulfill enhanced application management requirements
Responsible for technical concepts (create, check and manage)
Supports and consults with IT Service Manager during order and pre-sales process and cost optimization
Performs deployments of new releases based on RfCs
Performs troubleshooting on various levels (Application, Middleware, Database, OS, Networking)

Requirements for the employee

Required education

Secondary with school-leaving examination

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2) and
German - Intermediate (B1)

Personality requirements and skills

Preferable Technical High school degree or several years of experience or equivalent training with detailed expertise of ICT, Linux

1+ years in ICT
Technical overview in OS, Network, Storage, Backup, Databases, Middleware, Scripting
Knowledge of Apache Tomcat, Oracle Database, HP Service Manager - Advantage

English: B2
German: B1/B2
