Job description, responsibilities and duties

  • Check instruments general status
  • Operate the damper to open and close several times
  • Operate pneumatic actuators / valve
  • Only if the damper is not damaged, connect the damper to an appropriate power source for electricity or pneumatic air operational test
  • Check Preservation Carried Out TAG, preservation product data and expiration date - Renew if Expiry date has passed
  • Check equipment if fully closed. Inspect flange faces, replace or renew flange covers if any
  • Inspect valves internal preservation such as desiccant bags, VPCI, nitrogen preserved etc… replace, maintain preservation as per vendor's recommendation
  • Check valves are set in position required by vendor (fully open or closed)
  • Check equipment is properly stored and preserved with proper protection. Replace drying agent or VpCI, if necessary
  • Inspect Valves are set in position required for preservation system (opened or closed depending of system battery limit)

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination

Language skills

English - Intermediate (B1) or French - Intermediate (B1) or Dutch - Intermediate (B1)

Personality requirements and skills

  • technical degree with experience in the field of industrial maintenance or preservation (factory/refinery/steel..)
  • good technical knowledge is advantage
  • fluent in English or Dutch or French
