Job description, responsibilities and duties
A Lead Data Warehouse Developer is responsible for the Group Data Warehouse content solutions ETL development, deployment and monitoring. He works with the team designing the Datamodel, ETL process, exception handling and ETL processes scheduling (workflow) definition and setup. He is also responsible for the architecture of a special content area in the Group Data Warehouse
A candidate is expected to have very good experience in dwh architecture, designing, developing and deploying ETL mappings and workflows and is the Lead for providing technical guidance, frameworks for a group of DWH Developer in a DWH Projects or DWH Solutions and have experience in a variety of software development concepts and practices.

- Lead for Software Design Specification preparation, e.g. Feasibility study for DWH projects/solutions
- Interpretation of technical specifications to understand mapping and transformational requirements
- Lead of DWH Designing, development and test ETL processes
- Lead of DWH Designing and set up of ETL workflow/process
- Lead of DWH Deployment packages preparation
- Lead of Optimize runtimes of existing ETL processes and new programs to fit in a desired time frame
- Effort estimation for assigned tasks and participation on the DWH and BI releases planning
- Coordination of 3rd level support for our operations team
- Provision of support to test teams in their work by fixing and solving bugs
- Lead and maintain proper technical documentation to ensure the quality of the software
- Coordination of DWH Project team resources, prioritize, assign and monitor individual activities to consistently meet or exceed delivery objectives within designated project time lines
- Coordination of DWH and BI agreed releases for the solution
- Coordination of direct guideline, assessment and training for ETL developers and lead a small team of developers
- Lead on research projects, exploring and evaluating new technologies

Personality requirements and skills
- 5-10 years of experience in DWH design, development, modification and testing of ETL processes for DWH and BI solutions
- Very good knowledge of the following tools and programming languages:
- ETL Tools
- DWH Datamodelling
- DWH methods, guidelines and frameworks
- 5 or more years of experience with developing ETL/ELT processes
- 5 or more years of software development experience with Datawarehousing
- 5 or more years of experience developing ETL processes against relational and dimensional/star-schema structures and experience developing ETL against denormalized and normalized data structures
- Very good experience with scheduling ETL processes
- Software development experience with Oracle or Teradata DWH Databases
- Experience developing and modifying scripts on a Linux or Unix environment
- Experience in measuring and tuning the performance of DWH and BI solutions code
- Leadership in design and development of the dwh solutions
- Strong discipline in Software development life cycle
- Experiences with CASE tools - Power designer, Erwin
- Experiences with Issues and project tracking systems like JIRA
- 5 or more years experience in banking , financial institutions, telecommunication preferable
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
- Ability to analyse complex application and business operational issues
- Ability to solve and work on a variety of high impact, high-profile problems / projects
- Ability to learn new technologies, solve complex technical problems and multitask initiatives
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
