Job description, responsibilities and duties
- In general testing of DWH/BI systems/applications including interfaces from source systems and between systems in BI environment based on Oracle platform – SQL knowledge required
- Analysis of test requirements based on business documentation (usually in MS word, Excel and Visio)
- Test planning
- Transferring requirements into test designs (creating of test cases – currently used tool for test tracking and defect tracking is TPS (a Clearquest application)
- Execution of various types of tests for solution quality assurance including data preparation (in txt files or database tables)
- Execution of end-to-end test process through various iterations (incl. support for acceptance testing)
- Detecting, documenting, managing and re-testing defects
- Integration tests
- Support of UAT/acceptance testing
- Test automation
Other tools used: TOAD, UNIX editor, Putty, Winscp for data transfer between PC and UNIX. DM of BI solution maintained in Ervin. Also other internal tool used for preparation and anonymization of data sets needed for different types of testing, runtime, log, error tables, txt extracts for data quality tests

- Independent working, communication skills (communication with solutions analysts/solution managers/business users)
- Result oriented team player
- ISTQB certified tester (foundation level)
