Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are the Middle Office Investment Analysis Team working in Swiss Re's Asset Management (SR AM). Our key role is to produce and interpret regular analytical reports documenting the developments on our externally managed investment portfolios. With that we support the External Investment Mandate team (EIM) in an effort to make sure that SR AM employs the best mix of external managers. Our standard reporting is performed on a daily, weekly and monthly frequency with a focus on performance attribution, exposure statistics and transaction activity. We also support the production of presentations, submitted to the AM Investment Committee, EIM Investment Advisory Board and various other boards and committees. Our job involves frequent communication with colleagues based in Zurich, New York and London.

Joining us, you will be responsible for the qualitative and quantitative assessment process of portfolios managed by external managers on behalf of Swiss Re. This involves calculation, monitoring and maintenance of performance indicators. Other responsibilities include portfolio positioning, return and performance analysis, its interpretation in the form of written commentaries and regular update or creation of standard reporting packages. We are always looking for ways to get a better view on how our managers are doing, which brings along many initiatives and changes to existing processes. So if you love working in a dynamic environment and enjoy challenging projects you will do great here.
