Job description, responsibilities and duties

About the role:
In this role, you will be responsible for executing an IT strategy for L&C in coordination with IT by developing, maintaining and administering L&C IT solutions for use within the Division and throughout Swiss Re. Additionally, this role will support the L&C Business Management Team in developing, maintaining and continuously improving tools and processes within the L&C Division.

Support for Group wide used tools
•You will support our tools, gather and document requirements for projects
•You will interact with business users, communicating with vendors, testing changes, project support, training, supporting functional
•You will run regular and ad hoc reports from the various tools
•You will drive tools governance and key stakeholder engagement
•You will seek ways to improve continuously and streamline tools and processes

Divisional Operations
•Participate in L&C Projects (as Workstream Lead or team member), for delivery and improvement of IT solutions and L&C processes
•Support the preparation of regular and ad hoc reporting and presentations from a data analysis and content perspective
•Support the coordination of other Group Operations and divisional initiatives and tasks.

About the team:
Legal & Compliance Business Management is the central team within the Legal & Compliance (L&C) division for innovation, technology and operations. We support the Chief Legal Officer in the strategic direction and operational execution, and the divisional departments in delivering effective and efficient services. Our main responsibilities are to coordinate processes and initiatives within the division. Specific focus is on project management, process improvements, tool ownership and support, outside counsel management, financial management, divisional communications and other operations topics.

We are a team of 10 members in Bratislava and Zurich, supporting a broad range of topics. We value diversity of background and skillset each team member brings in the team

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

About you:
•University degree preferably in business administration, computer science or engineering
•More than 3 years relevant professional work experience (e.g. as business analyst, in IT or in any other relevant field)
•Able to navigate ambiguity, flexible and pragmatic
•Strong inter-personal skills, good at dealing with people and building relationships
•"Can do attitude": strong sense of ownership paired with high levels of intrinsic motivation and energy
•Effective self-management and priority balancing
•You have the ability and eagerness to work towards deadlines while keeping high quality standards
•You are a great teammate, good at receiving and giving constructive feedback
•Requirements gathering and documentation skills
•You have strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills, including attention to detail without losing track of the big picture
•Having knowledge about data models or process modelling is a plus
•You have strong MS Office suite skills, specifically Excel (incl. Pivot-tables) and PowerPoint
•Having excellent communication skills in English is essential for you
•Ability to communicate with our business partners from diverse backgrounds
