Job description, responsibilities and duties

Asset Management (AM) department handles assets that Swiss Re generates through its core insurance and reinsurance businesses. We in AM Chief Operating Office provide an efficient operating platform capable of supporting all financial market activities conducted by Swiss Re.

Our Governance & Advisory team of 6 people is responsible for the implementation and the continued strengthening of efficiency of the AM control framework. We play a key role in maintaining high standards across AM, including the Group Chief Investment Office and AM Executive Team. As strong governance runs through all of the AM value chain, you will get an excellent opportunity to learn about the fascinating world of investments functioning.

You will initiate, coordinate and handle various control activities, reviews and monitoring functions according to our internal standards:
•Documentation of processes and controls
•Business continuity management,
•Records management,
•Best execution requirements,
•Anti-money laundering and international trade control measures
•Management reporting providing important steering information
•Issues reporting
•Policy reviews
•Audit preparations and audit support

Main responsibilities:
•Coordinate and perform regular reviews of governance topics according to Control Framework Guidelines
•Collect data and produce required management reports
•Act as point of contact for assurance functions such as auditors, Operational Risk Management, Compliance and others
•Provide support to the business in audit related topics
•Coordinate and supervise review of the Business Unit Plans across all locations
•Support the maintenance and streamlining of the AM processes

Personality requirements and skills

University degree in economics and/or business administration or 2-4 years relevant work experience.
Experience with risk, process management or audit is advantage.
Knowledge of Financial Markets is advantage.

• Very good oral and written communication skills in English
• Good knowledge of MS Office
