This is a rare opportunity for you to join a fast growing company in the early years of its development. We are looking for a new team member, who can bring expertise with a hardworking 'can do' attitude to our team and help us build a new, complete, Finance team in Bratislava.

iptiQ EMEA L&H was setup by Swiss Re in January 2016, and forms one of the Life Capital group of entities. Being part of a large group, iptiQ EMEA L&H has grown quickly using Finance specialists based across Europe.

Supporting the iptiQ Finance function, you will work closely with Finance management, their teams and IT. Your position ensures Finance system performance is reliable. You will act as the key finance contact point for finance systems and processes queries, you will play a key role in resolving issues from control and monitoring activity, acting as the key contact point of finance system and control issues and taking responsibility for resolving issues with IT or other business units as appropriate.

Your role is key to ensuring finance's compliance with the risk and control framework and audit requirements.

•Group Finance and iptiQ Financial Reporting Luxembourg

Monitoring and documentation of controls for all source system data flow reconciliations and ensuring issues are communicated to the wider finance team and actions are in place to resolve.
Overall coordination and control of the balance sheet reconciliation process and control environment.
Responsible for ensuring that the Data required for reporting and submissions is delivered on time and to required standard
Assist in developing a reliable process for maintaining the source system mapping tables,
Day to day management of the Change Request (CR) process for finance requested changes to all systems (Oracle, iHub, DST)
Creating, maintaining and promoting a professional approach to system changes, testing, sign off for Finance to adhere to
Liaise with IT and Finance and monitor the effective flow of information within company systems. Identify areas of improvement to business processes that can be achieved through system based changes
Control the team's End User Application (EUA) inventory, working with the Finance team and wider business to identify unsupported (EUAs)
Ensure operating issues and events are appropriately documented in the GRACE tool
Key customer management for iptiQ EMEA entities across the relevant accounting valuations between system users and providers.
Perform quality and consistency checks on deliverables and outputs
Ensure compliance with the risk and control framework and the audit requirements
Support audit activities and prepare requested information in connection with the external audit and other external parties, like regulators or other governmental institutions
Support Finance related projects, including new deals
Perform ad-hoc tasks as required

About the team:
The iptiQ EMEA L&H Bratislava Finance Team is responsible for the day-to-day operational finance activities as well as accounting, reporting, analytics and commentaries according to accounting policies for Group, Local Branch & Entity valuations for iptiQ Life SA and iptiQ Holdings Ltd where relevant. It will also be operating on new finance systems, with implementation taking place in the near future.

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

Essential Skills
Three or more years of work experience in the financial services industry (insurance business desirable).
Three or more years of work experience in a controls/audit role.
Experience of project management or business improvement.
University degree in Economics, Science, Accounting or Business Administration
Strong communication skills - ability to communicate complex issues in a clear and concise fashion
Proven PC skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Engaging and motivating work persona
Advanced English language ability

Desirable Skills
Experience of finance system change, working closely with IT and Finance systems.
Proven ability to deliver Finance change in a large organisation.
German/French language ability
Qualification in accounting and/or audit
