Accounting Analyst (iptiQ)

This is a rare opportunity to join a fast growing company. We are looking for talented individuals, who can help us build a new, complete, Finance team in Bratislava. You will be one of three people reporting to the Accounting and Control Manager. Together with your team mates, your responsibilities will be booking of premiums, provisions, claims, payables and receivables and assist with reporting.

You will help to build close relationships with our External Third Party providers of data.

Your main customers:
• Group Finance and iptiQ Financial Reporting Luxembourg
• Head of Finance Operations iptiQ EMEA
• Policy Accounting and Control Manager

Main tasks:
1. As part of the Accounting & Control team, monitor accuracy and timely delivery of data from Third Party Administrator. This will involve direct liaison with them.
2. Work collaboratively with our internal and external partners.
3. Accurately post and reconcile journals to the finance systems.
4. Check quality and consistency on finance and insurance data.
5. Understand the finance and insurance data, so that you can explain changes.
7. Assist preparation of timely and accurate data for reporting.
8. Actively contribute to departmental projects, including new deals and process improvements.
9. Perform various ad hoc tasks as required.

About the team:
iptiQ EMEA was setup by Swiss Re in January 2016, and is an integral part of the Life Capital group of entities. Being part of a large group, and benefiting from the backing and resources it offers we have grown quickly using Finance specialists based across Europe. Our size and growth are at a stage where we need a dedicated Finance hub for our company that works closely together in one location. We looked at our existing European Countries and identified Bratislava as the right place to grow our finance team. The team will have numerous responsibilities as you would expect; day-to-day operational finance activities as well as accounting, reporting, analytics and commentaries according to accounting policies for Group, Local Branch & Entities, Economic, and Solvency II valuation principles for the Life and Holdings companies where relevant.
