Job description, responsibilities and duties

The CMDM Delivery team consists of highly qualified and experienced business analysts and master data specialists. As part of this team, you will take on the responsibility for business analysis and solution design within the assigned field of master data domains. You will also be involved in all steps of the change management and software development process and individually work on projects and tasks assigned to you. You will be the main contact for our business partners and enterprise & information architects of involved applications.

We are looking for a hands-on Master Data Management Information Specialist to strengthen our motivated team. You will be responsible to analyse and translate business requirements into functional requirements specifications, covering all aspects of master data management, including business processes, data models, governance and data quality.
Your area of work is expecting a close cooperation with business experts and information architects, data owners, application owners and other stakeholders to make sure new and enhanced functionalities and improvements are transparently communicated, successfully tested and implemented in due time.
You will be involved in projects where you drive a smooth collaboration between business requestors and the MDM platform engineers over all development lifecycle phases. You ensure the correct interpretation and implementation of business requirements while simultaneously applying the defined change management and governance procedures to run your projects successfully.

• Requirements and impact analysis as well as solution design of assigned area of responsibility
• Document the solution, both for internal and external use (business user manual
• Support respective steering committees in the area of prioritization and release planning.
• Plan and steer change requests and rollouts, including stakeholder communication, coordination of user acceptance tests and user trainings
• Define and perform data quality checks and follow-up with data owners
• Incident, problem and change management for assigned topics
• Support users in understanding MDM and in guiding them to make proper use of Master Data
• Manage assigned subprojects in the above-mentioned fields independently
• Communicate and collaborate with international and external user community and decision makers

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Personality requirements and skills

Essentials:
• Master / Bachelor degree (or similar) in Information Management, Computer Science, Business Administration, Economics or equal
• Strong analytical and communication skills (written and spoken)
• English fluent is a must, German or any other language a plus
• Readiness for close teamwork across multiple locations
• Minimum 3+ years of working experience in a similar position
• Master data management knowledge
• Knowledge in SQL, Databases (Oracle, DB2), WebServices
• Knowledge in MS Office, SharePoint
• Knowledge in agile software development (SCRUM) ideally with Jira
• Ideally experience in insurance/reinsurance or financial industry
• Experience in information & data governance and IT project management would be an asset
