Job description, responsibilities and duties

This role gives the candidate a unique possibility to gain insight into many interesting aspects of a trade life-cycle. Purchasing and selling a financial security (e.g. corporate bond) triggers many different processes in a reinsurance company like Swiss Re. In every such transaction various stakeholders are involved. These stakeholders are Front, Middle and Back-Office functions like Portfolio and Risk Managers, Compliance monitoring, Trade Settlements, Reconciliations of income and Investment Reporting. Data Integrity team serves all of these stakeholders in ensuring that the data entered into globally recognized asset management platforms like BlackRock Aladdin, Murex 3.1., Apex Enterprise or Markit are correct and reflecting the market reality.
Therefore the main focus of this position is to analyze and maintain static data in asset management software platforms. The candidate will have to gain understanding of the nature and impact of data maintained and ensure their highest quality through performing various checks, report queries and data reconciliations. The successful candidate will have the chance to get familiar with tools like Bloomberg Professional and Thomson Reuters Eikon.

• Set-up and maintenance of a high variety of financial security types. Examples like fixed income securities, asset-backed securities, equities and different derivatives
• Coordination of portfolio creation, modification and termination from static data perspective
• End-to-end data integrity checks to ensure highest data quality
• Collaboration with stakeholders in getting to understand their data needs and requirements
