Job description, responsibilities and duties

The position-holder is responsible to ensure CorSo EMEA Operations targets for Technical Accounting are met. This includes, but is not limited to, defined performance indicators, turn-around times, and high data quality standards. Deep understanding of Technical Accounting's impact on Corporate Solutions Value Chain is essential for the role, and excellent communication level is a must. Tasks such as preparing extended data reports and statistics, setting up (and simplifications) of processes, additional data quality control tasks, risk controls framework, planning and controlling, etc. or intensive project work are part of the responsibilities. The position holder will mainly interact with the Technical Accounting team, Client Markets, Business Services, Underwriting, Claims and Clients/Brokers.

• Manage the most important portfolios involving our key clients. This includes serving as the main contact point for any assigned task that can be functional in nature (specified portfolio/Broker/LOB) or topic related (especially projects).
• Create/Improve/Redesign existing and new processes, systems, metrics, or approaches to achieve process simplification and high Client satisfaction. This involves engaging in proactive discussions with our internal clients (TA Ops, COE, BS, UW and CLM) as well as external clients.
• Actively participate as needed in high impact projects designed to achieve significant benefits. Participation includes serving as project leader, project member, or advisor.
• Coach, mentor, train, guide and share expertise where needed both internally and with our customers.
• Support management, operations, and other areas of Swiss Re Corporate Solutions in solving complex problems, issues, escalations and queries.
• Support management in setting, managing, monitoring and delivering on relevant business targets (KPI, Risk Management, etc.) by providing thought leadership, expertise and experience.
• Actively pursue relationships with clients through frequent verbal and written interactions and occasional client visits. Address client issues.
• Assure professional communication with stakeholders / internal clients; ensure professional service provision and build-up a strong professional network with other functions/locations.

Requirements for the employee

Required education

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Computer skills - user

Microsoft Excel - advanced

Personality requirements and skills

• Bachelor´s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting/Finance related discipline.
• At least 4 years relevant working experience including development and leading team.
• Language skills: English fluent written and spoken, any other European language is an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Expert level comprehension of MS Office (e.g. Word, Power Point and Excel especially).
• Proven organizational and time management skills, ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Very good analytical skills and detail orientation.
• Strong interpersonal skills for work internally across departments as well as with clients.
• Decision-making skills.
• Ability to adapt to changes and to drive the change implementation accordingly.
