Summary
• We are looking for a candidate to support the Underwriting Associates with the modeling and costing of the risk. The team of around twenty Underwriting Associates works closely with the Property Underwriters in all Swiss Re offices in Europe, Middle East and Africa. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic and diverse team and will interact with various nationalities in and outside Slovakia. He/She will be involved in the decision making during the modeling and costing of the risk.

Core Responsibilities
• Work closely with Underwriting Associates (and potentially with other experts and Underwriters)
• Review insurance submission data for accuracy and completeness
• Interpret and manipulate non-standard submission data for the risk to be appropriately modeled (work with the address information of the insured locations in Microsoft Excel(tm) and ensure a high level of geo resolution using Google Earth(tm))
• Determine the appropriate Property Industry Classification of the insured assets through a review of their operations and discussions with underwriting associate team
• Ensure that the entered values are correct
• Maintain and update the risk information
• The successful candidate will go through a thorough training provided by our local experts to learn everything necessary to perform the above mentioned tasks.
• Support Underwriting Associate teams with other costing related tasks

Additional Responsibilities
• Enter and maintain information in systems and tools, including documents, process changes and associated open/completed tasks following established guidelines and processes
• Interaction and coordination with team members
• Perform other position related tasks as instructed by Supervisor.
• Own responsibility for timeliness and quality.

Personality requirements and skills

Education / Professional experience
• Undergraduate on Bachelor's Degree/Master´s degree
• Knowledge and understanding of Re-/ Insurance business is a plus
• Relevant job experience is a plus

Linguistics
• Proficient in English and German language (reading, written and verbal)

Other
• Demonstrates profound computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Package (special focus on Excel)
• Demonstrates competency in: intermediate level math, administrative procedures and general economic principles
• Demonstrates logical and analytical thinking: ability to connect dots, ability to identify and report problems or errors while working with significant amounts of detailed information
• Applies knowledge to technical and processing tasks through daily activities and responsibilities
• Excellent reading comprehension, verbal and written communication skills
