Job description, responsibilities and duties

In this role you will support the European carrier reporting teams with analysis, reports and accounting support according to Swiss and Luxembourg statutory accounting policies, and Economic and Solvency II valuation principles for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Ltd and Swiss Re International SE. As a member of our team, you support the production of quantitative and qualitative Solvency II reports for the insurance regulator. This position is in close liaison with all other functions involved in Solvency II reporting such as Risk Management or Finance Reinsurance.

Main tasks:
• Provide timely and accurate legal entity Solvency reporting according to regulatory and Group requirements, including closing and reporting of Swiss Re International
• Ensure timely and accurate Solvency II reporting templates are produced, including Annual and Quarterly Financial Statements
• Support financial controlling with a focus on regulatory requirements (payable/receivable signoffs, local statutory vs. group reporting reconciliations, reconciliations for the accounts under the ownership, closing notes and related tasks)
• Provide comprehensive analysis and commentaries according to management requirements
• Ensure compliance with the risk and control framework and audit requirements
• Support audit activities and prepare requested information and respective documentation
• Participate in related Finance projects

Requirements for the employee

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

• Qualification in Accounting/Audit and/or university degree in Economics, Science or Business Administration
• Work experience in the financial services industry desirable (insurance / reinsurance business as a plus)
• Knowledge regarding the preparation of consolidated financial statements / reporting desirable
• Experience in the use of standard bookkeeping software for financial accounting
• Proven PC skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
• Team player with good communication skills
• Engaging and motivating
• Excellent command of the English language
