IT Business Analyst

We are looking for an all-around player combining the skills of an IT business analyst and an information engineer willing to join the Quality Assurance (QA) team of the Data Warehouse Solutions unit.
The focus of the QA team is to ensure the reliability and the usability of the data centralized in the Client Markets & Products Data Warehouse (CMP DWH) for our internal clients. The methods, solutions and processes addressing data quality and developed in this environment, referred hereafter as the CMP DWH QA framework, will be reused in different other warehousing initiatives within Swiss Re.
You will work in a team of highly qualified and experienced information engineers and business analysts, in charge of data integration and exploitation for Property & Casualty and Life & Health direct insurance and reinsurance businesses. You will support our unit in the process of ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the data according to client and regulatory requirements. Furthermore you will participate to the continuous improvement of the CMP DWH QA framework. The tasks that will be assigned to you will include:
- Continuous monitoring of material data quality breaches and active communication to impacted stakeholders. A particular emphasis will be put on the data underlying the different risk models in order to ensure compliance with the Solvency II data quality requirements
- Assessment of impact and elaboration of solution proposal to fix reported data quality issues, in coordination with various stakeholders along the whole information supply chain
- Gather data quality requirements from clients and translate them into workable QA programs that are supported by the CMP DWH QA framework. A QA program can consist of reconciliations, data profiling-based techniques as well as business rules / plausibility checks
- Assess potential usage of other techniques for QA purposes, e.g. data mining in the fields of quality mining and knowledge discovery
