Job description, responsibilities and duties
Life & Health IT Usability Expert Business Analyst is responsible for business analysis and requirements gathering, delivering technical solution specifications and business system design specific to the L&H Business Domain. The L&H Usability Expert Business Analyst will report directly to the Team Lead L&H IT Re-UW & UI-Services and will be involved with end-to-end business solution development from design to delivery, solution integration, support operational incident and problem resolution and performance enhancements with a strong focus on usability and user interface design.
• Build and maintain a trusted relationship with our internal customers
• Have a good understanding of business issues and challenges
• Rationalize and challenge requirements and processes together with the business to drive focus on high value improvements
• Capture complex business requirements and define corresponding solutions working closely with the business community
• Lead and manage usability and business analysis and systems analysis initiatives for complex problems in Life & Health areas
• Develop business functional specifications, system design specifications and data-related artefacts
• Gain and maintain extensive knowledge of Swiss Re internal Life & Health and global Swiss Re applications and information / data
• Ensure transparency and consensus by continuous communication and active expectations management with all stakeholders
• Support production incident and problem management and support production Go-Live activities as it relates to usability
• Responsible for delivery and project management of initiatives.
• Translate business requirements into system production solution design and patterns, which enables quality, re-usability, scalability availability and maintainability in accordance with the overall Business Strategy and IT standards
• Collaborate with other teams in defining functionality, scope and time lines
• Present and communicate ideas and design to various teams for review and brainstorming
• Act as development consultant to operational team, assisting them in choosing the most appropriate technical solution for their applications and/or production issues
• Support development defect resolution and/or operational/production incident and problem solutions
• Implement long term operational requirements, design solutions and operational efficiency.

• Highly experienced in graphical design

• Extensive knowledge and experience in coding and manipulating HTML and CSS
• Fluid in JavaScript and HTML 5.
• Knowledge of modern web frameworks (e.g. Bootstrap, AngularJS) is a plus.
• Experience with analysis and design on large scale IT projects
• Proven ability to lead the business analysis on small to mid-size initiatives
• Team player, getting things done and being able to work in dynamic environments
• Expert knowledge in Adobe Photoshop
• Expert knowledge in Adobe Dreamweaver
• Knowledge in Adobe Illustrator
• Knowledge in MS Office 2013
