Job description, responsibilities and duties

As a member of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, supporting the Property & Casualty (P&C) business lines in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), you will ensure delivery of high quality data and analysis, to enable effective business performance steering for this dynamic region.

Your role will focus on developing and applying quantitative and qualitative testing on data, identification of issues and ensuring resolution, in conjunction with other support functions across the region. You will also be required to support the Business Analysts in Zurich and Munich in preparing quarterly financial reports in an accurate, timely and efficient manner, highlighting potential risks and opportunities.

Main duties will be:
• Closing & Quality Assurance: ensure complete and correct technical income statements in compliance with internal guidelines and control requirements. Provide support and guidance for efficient budgeting and disclosure through assigned system entries (Swiss Re proprietary PER tool).

• Analysis & Control: ensure adequate transparency on financial developments in the region, ensuring documented audit trail in line with internal control standards, ensuring accurate, meaningful and timely financial reporting

• Ownership: You will be expected to identify opportunities to improve productivity and simplify processes and to ensure these are implemented.
