Job description, responsibilities and duties
Summary
• Support of underwriting units with the modeling and costing of the risk
Core Responsibilities
• Work closely with underwriters (and potentially with other experts)
• Review insurance submission data for accuracy and completeness
• Interpret and manipulate non-standard submission data for the risk to be appropriately modeled
• Determine the appropriate Property Industry Classification of the insured assets through a review of their operations and discussions with underwriting team
• Reflect insurance policy terms and conditions into the costing tools
• Identify and input secondary modifiers relevant for the costing
• Ensure that the entered values are correct
• Assess risk through our pricing models, interpret results and form recommendations
• Maintain and update the risk information
• Support underwriting teams with other costing related tasks
Additional Responsibilities
• Enter and maintain information in systems and tools, including documents, process changes and associated open/completed tasks following established guidelines and processes
• interaction and coordination with team members and stakeholders
• Perform other position related tasks as instructed by Supervisor.
