Job description, responsibilities and duties
We are seeking a Finance Specialist for our Finance Re MIS Master Data & QA team. This person will be responsible for managing and maintaining reference data and ensuring its consistency.
The MIS is part of the Finance Reinsurance Reporting unit, whose mandate is to implement and deliver accurate, timely and meaningful financial reporting of the business unit Reinsurance. As such the MIS ensures standardized and consistent reporting across the different financial valuations and organizational layers of the Business Unit.
The globally organized Finance Re MIS department will be the key provider of financial information to the Finance Re organization. The Finance Specialist gets the opportunity to work with the finance community making sure that Finance Re is providing consistent, reliable and timely information to its clients.
The Master Data and Quality Assurance team is steering and maintaining information to ease management reporting. The main drivers are booking and organizational structure attributes and substitutions. The team has to make sure that the data and attributes are consistent and reliable. In addition they have to meet the requirements of the reinsurance and must be compliant to the FSA policies.
The representation of Demand Management and the collection of information and as well some Quality Assurance tasks are key for this Finance Reinsurance function.
Main tasks are:
- Implementation of new attributes in various systems (deliverer, receiver etc.) including coordination of 'mini' Migrations an clean-ups of history to get the data ready for reporting
- Design new substitution, maintenance and integration into reports
- Analyzing complex cases and find out reasons/source of issue and prepare solutions and organize clean-ups
- Facilitator for coordination of clean-ups with different parties (actuaries, finance analysts, IT)
- Check implementations of clean-ups
- Representative of Demand management
- Coordination of requests, follow-up and content gathering of cost/benefits etc.
- Heading discussions of possible implementation of new requirements, writing specifications
- Provide Trainings for the existing reporting platforms
Other responsibilities include:
- Contribution to projects (e.g. ATLAS)
- Responsible for the up-to-date of the Master Data and QA Intranet page, Wiki and other online platforms
- Ensure proper documentation of the underlying process and control descriptions within the area of responsibility
- Other tasks as required
