The AM Governance Monitoring and Control Officer acts in an oversight function for various Asset Management compliance and governance-related functions. These include
• the Conducting Officer role for Swiss Re’s UCITS funds in Luxembourg
• the Derivative Use Officer role for various legal entities based on the Derivative Use Officer mandate
• the New Products Officer role
• the Mandate Control Officer role

The Governance Monitoring and Control Office is part of the AM Governance framework. As such it covers formally appointed roles driven by regulatory requirements or Swiss Re's internal control framework.
Your role will be to directly support and deputise the head of the team in all functions:

The Conducting Officer is responsible for the tasks delegated by the Board of Directors of the Swiss Re SICAV in Luxembourg, which currently hold an excess of USD 10bn of assets under management. These include various oversight, monitoring and reporting functions as well as coordination with/ communication to different stakeholders of the funds, e.g. the Central Administration, the Investment Manager and the Shareholders of the funds.

The Derivative Use Officer oversees the day-to-day use of derivative financial instruments in the Swiss Re carriers that are governed by a Derivative Use Plan (DUP). The role includes management of the Derivative Use Committee meetings and updating of the DUPs as well as managing all related processes.

The New Product Officer provides guidance, oversight and management reporting on the new product approval process of financial instruments. The function includes communication with and support to a large number of stakeholders across Swiss Re, both in and outside of Group Asset Management, with the objective to achieve well managed yet timely approval of new product requests.

The Mandate Control Officer independently oversees the investment management compliance process in Group Asset Management, including pre- and post-trade compliance, international trade controls and anti-money laundering measures and screening, global position monitoring. The Mandate Control Officer initiates and manages key initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the investment compliance framework.

Osobnostné predpoklady a zručnosti

• University degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance
• Fluent in English, German a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with individuals from all levels of seniority
• Strong team player mentality with a focus on execution
• Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work under pressure
• Well organised and disciplined, with excellent coordination skills
• Experience with the MS Office suite of applications
• Analytical and problem solving mindset
• Trustworthy and reliable, displays agility
• Project management skills and experience
• Fundamental and broad knowledge in financial instruments in general and derivative instruments in particular
• Experience from working with financial instruments in other areas (e.g. Middle Office, Operations, Data Management, etc.)
• Ability to demonstrate technical knowledge and solid understanding of investment management processes and issues
• Sound understanding of the regulatory framework for derivatives trading in the respective jurisdictions (Switzerland, Luxembourg) and knowledge of the Luxembourg UCITS funds legal & regulatory framework
