Job description, responsibilities and duties

In this role you will be working as Risk & Controls Analyst in Standards and Governance within Finance Reinsurance. Within Reinsurance the Accounting & Reporting department is responsible for all financial reporting requirements to Swiss Re Group, including all standards & definitions.

Main tasks:

• Support development and enhancement of internal control framework and risk indicators
• Identify, monitor and report risks. Ensure control framework is followed consistently throughout Accounting & Reporting
• Monitor Finance Reinsurance open issues to ensure timely resolution and closure
• Support the Accounting & Reporting teams in internal and external audit matters
• Support process documentation for Finance Reinsurance
• Responsibility for the process documentation within Accounting & Reporting, including the setup of effective controls
• Support operational incident reporting within Finance Reinsurance and produce regular reports on outstanding incidents
• Support quarterly Risk and Control Self-Assessment process
• Support Financial Risk Reporting (FRR) for US GAAP and EVM within Finance
• Perform other position related tasks as instructed by Supervisor

• Provide cover for roles in other teams
• Any other ad hoc tasks as required from time to time

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

• University graduate with primary or higher degree (or equivalent), ideally in Finance or Business Administration
• Experience in an audit, financial controlling, operational risk management or related areas preferred
• Fluency in English (both speaking and writing)
• Outstanding team player with strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
• Desire to build up knowledge spanning various disciplines
• Ability to handle both conceptual and practical issues
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Good understanding of reinsurance
• Process management skills
