Job description, responsibilities and duties
Apart from being responsible for all HR related topics for the Payments team, the Head Payments of Swiss Re Bratislava is responsible for the oversight of all financial markets related payments. The mission of the position is to ensure the execution of all payments related to various types of products in accurate, controlled and timely manner. The scope of payments includes but is not limited to OTC derivative lifecycle payments, payments for Principal Investments in emerging markets and payments related to corporate actions.
The Payments team supports various stakeholders within Swiss Re such as Asset Management, Treasury, Corporate Solution’s and the Reinsurance units.
• Manage Asset Management Payments team in Bratislava which includes all activities related to people management and leadership, including hiring, onboarding, performance review, training & development
• Management of team responsibilities, escalation and work continuity
• Plan and identify action steps needed to accomplish set objectives; identify and allocate resources accordingly
• Ability to manage global scope of payments including all countries except USA
• Excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders (brokers, custodians and clients)
• Oversight and full control of payments related tasks and processes
• Monitoring and completion of failed payments
• Handling of corporate actions
• Resolution of complex queries from stakeholders
• Consistently search for ways to improve customer service
• Solid awareness and prevention of operational risk
