Job description, responsibilities and duties

In this position, you will be responsible for monitoring different investment compliance and performance aspects of Swiss Re´s various asset management portfolios. The mission of AM Portfolio Monitoring is to ensure that Investment Guidelines are input into Post-trade portfolio monitoring systems, perform all daily checks, and notify to CIO Office, LE representatives and MCO of any breaches that do occur. This includes monitoring of investment guidelines and restrictions issued to internal and external investment managers, monitoring of key performance indicators, complete and accurate implementation of restriction in the compliance systems and preparation of various reports. You will interact with various stakeholders in different locations internal and external of Swiss Re. Also, you will be responsible for taking up a coordination role among the stakeholders to assure a successful completion of the tasks.

• Responsibility for portfolio monitoring and reporting of investment guidelines and mandates breaches, from a quantitative and qualitative perspective. Keeping track on investment restrictions breaches and escalation if necessary
• Ensure that Investment guidelines and Mandates can be properly monitored
• Regular reporting of breaches and Investment guidelines status
• Implementation and reconciliation of restrictions and limits in the monitoring systems
• Execution of quality checks and controls
• Communication with stakeholders internally as well as externally
• Participation on project work - development, implementation and testing of new tools, processes
• Industrialization of existing monitoring framework - simplification and automation

University education (Bachelor's degree)

Personality requirements and skills

University degree in economics and/ or business administration, preferably with a finance focus.
Strong knowledge of financial markets and instruments.
1+ year of relevant work experience and/ or university accompanying part time work is a plus.

• Good oral and written communication skills in English
• Very good know how of MS Office, specifically MS Excel (lookups, pivots, etc.)
• Reliable and self-reliant task manager
