Job description, responsibilities and duties

Successful candidate will be part of the Business Services team with overall responsibility for coordinating the Reinsurance Facultative business managed by European Branches. Business Services are the power-wheel in the mechanism between our internal clients and port of call for all administrative tasks.

In this role you will know the structure, needs and potential of our clients and collaborate locally with other departments of the Swiss Re Group for the accomplishment of objectives of Division Europe.

The Business Coordinator will assist in maintenance of tools, act as the source of documentation, guidance on the request of the other colleagues. The support you will provide will be connected with administrative, analytical and commercial sphere.

Service delivery:
- Primarily responsible for delivering accurate, timely service to the client facing staff.
- Ensuring proper handling of data entries in tools (responsible for data quality in systems).
- Maintaining processes in order to achieve team targets.
- Data gathering, reviewing of the client portfolio and reporting.
- Preparing and checking wordings in compliance with the guidelines, identifying discrepancies.
- Tracking the changes within portfolio under your responsibility (new clients, deals, addenda).
- Sharing lessons learned and best practices across the whole team.

Assistance to the Underwriters:
- Managing workload for the assigned client teams, providing triage of work across different internal functions.
- Establishing & maintaining strong relations with internal clients.
- Preparing visits for Underwriters (statistics, open issues, overviews,...).
- Web-site researches (new products, new companies on the market,…).
- Drafting offers and other documents within area of responsibility (preparing and checking wordings).
- Monitoring open issues regarding the client and ensuring that the agreed deadlines are met.
- Managing and controlling of the specific tasks related to the client administration.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)

Secondary School or University education, ideally in the area of economics/ business administration/ mathematics.
1 year of working experience in administration as advantage.

- Fluency in English language, at least understanding of written& spoken Dutch required
