Job description, responsibilities and duties

The position holder is accountable for cost related accounting and reporting including provision of information to other areas of the Swiss Re Group for tax and regulatory purposes. To include assistance with policy setting and process improvement identification and implementation.

- Account for and produce monthly/quarterly/annual accounts for assigned businesses
- Accruals and prepayment accounting
- Payroll accounting and associated balance sheet entries
- Handle, or control, balance sheet reconciliation processes where not controlled by other areas of the CoC Finance team
- Account for, reconcile and report on the company’s fixed assets
- Prepare VAT / equivalent reporting for VAT / equivalent managers (inc reconciliations)
- Prepare reporting for the various jurisdictions served by the CoC
- All intercompany recharge processing and related activity, i.e. accounting for intercompany recharges in and recharges out, and International Assignee accounting / processes. All associated reconciliations
- All project accounting
- Transactional level reporting to the business
- Assisting in policy setting and process improvement identification and implementation
- Act as the interface between CoC Finance team and rest of Group

Personality requirements and skills

- University degree in the area of finance, accounting, economics or similar
- Relevant experience as a Financial accountant or similar
- Language skills: English fluent written and spoken
- Experience in Oracle and/or SAP is a great advantage
- Very good comprehension of MS Office (e.g. Excel, Word, Power Point)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
